LPGA TEACHING PRO KAREN NICOLETTI JOINS BURROUGHS & CHAPIN GOLF MANAGEMENT'S GRANDE DUNES GOLF ACADEMY
May 31, 2011, Myrtle Beach, S.C — Karen Nicoletti, an LPGA Teaching and Club Professional Division Member, has brought her Nicoletti Golf School to the Grande Dunes Golf Academy. As a member of the instruction team at Grande Dunes Golf Academy at the Grande Dunes Resort Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Nicoletti will provide video/computer swing analysis, private lessons, clinics, conduct women-only and junior programs, and coordinate golf packages, corporate outings and her special Golf Boot Camp.
Nicoletti was the lead staff instructor at Reynolds Plantation Golf Academy in Georgia for 5 years. She has played golf since the age of five. Along the way, she won numerous junior golf awards and two Junior World Tournament championships. After graduating from San Diego State University in California, she played extensively throughout Europe, while competing on the Ladies European Golf Tour. She also owned and operated her own golf shop in Germany.
Nicoletti currently balances her time between teaching golf and playing in tournaments. When teaching, she focuses on an individual’s needs and strengths, and adapts her instruction style to fit each player's golf experience, age and physical limitations. Her unique approach to teaching is especially effective whenever she has an opportunity to instruct severely vision-impaired individuals.
Grande Dunes Golf Academy
The Grande Dunes Golf Academy is located at The Resort Club at Grande Dunes and is led by Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher, Brad Redding. The Academy has a 3:1 student-to-teacher ratio, insuring a high level of personalized attention. With the use of a computer/video digital coaching system, the trained instructors can analyze the full swing in detail. Instruction is available year-round.
